A up-and-coming writer-producer and principal of POL productions currently based in Seattle.
A licensed physician from the Philippines and is connected with a Seattle biotechnology start-up doing drug discovery cancer research.
On November 2009, he was selected as one of the 10 participants to the 2009 AFI Catalyst Workshop. The workshop encourages scientists and engineers to initiate Film, Television, and New Media projects. In this regard, he is now one of the AFI/Sloan Science Advisors.
During most of the '90s, aside from his medical studies, he had been involved in numerous creative and technical endeavors for the Philippine entertainment industry.
He was a former Production Manager for several Movies-of-the-Week for Available Light Productions (AVL), owned by renowned Philippine director, Jose Javier Reyes.
He performed in several local sitcoms such as Abangan ang Susunod na Kabanata and Palibhasa Lalake; and played a Newscaster in the film Luksong Tinik (1999) starring Lorna Tolentino and Monsour del Rosario, directed by Jose Javier Reyes.
He appeared in a couple of print-ads and commercials, most notably for Del Monte and Knorr Philippines.
In 1997, he won 1st prize in the Carlos P. Palanca Awards, Teleplay Category for "Pula" (Red).
In 1998-99, he co-wrote 2 Filipino films: Jose Rizal (with Ricky Lee & Jun Lana) and Sagad sa Init (with Jun Lana) respectively. Jose Rizal, touted as one of the biggest films ever made in the history of Philippine cinema premiered as an Official Selection for Panorama in the Berlin International Film Festival (1998). The film went on to win several local awards as well as international recognition including the 2nd runner-up in the Audience Award of the Toronto Filmfest and the Chicago International Film Festival.
Peter also wrote for several Philippine television shows. He was on staff for such shows as Verano, Maynila and Companero y Companera; and has written freelance for Love Notes, GMA Love Stories, GMA Specials.
