I trained with Natalia Lazarus at The Promenade Playhouse in Santa Monica, CA. I read everything I can get my fat little hands on. I'm also an active member of Zoetrope.com, the online home to Francis Ford Coppola's American Zoetrope Virtual Studio. I joined Zoetrope in 2001 and have workshopped numerous screenplays, novellas and short stories with the Zoetrope community.
In 2011, my screenplay, "Baby Boomerang," advanced to the the finals in the Charleston International Film Festival's screenwriting competition. The winners will be announced in May 2011. I have completed three feature length screnplays and am currently working on several TV pilots with a writing partner.
In my day job, I work for a plaintiff's law firm that represents investors in securities class actions, M&A litigation and shareholder derivative litigation. In additon to writing articles, white papers and blogs, I provide market and business analysis to bolster the firm's litigation team. I'm a key member of the business development team that communicates the firm's capabilites to pension funds, hedge funds and really rich people.
I have a Masters in Business Adminstration (finance concentration) from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts (English major/Philosphy minor) from Roanoke College. I am also a Certified fraud Examiner (CFE).
