My most recent publications are columns in our local newspaper concerning teacher contracts here in Hawaii. My commentary on art education and the importance of rejection was published by teacher education, Middleground magazine a long time ago. I've fabricated and designed some sets and created some sculptures for visiting movie productions, "The Brady Bunch, the Sequel" got my name in the credits (I still don't know what that means), and "The Fifty First Kisses." I teach fine art at a public high school: painting and drawing, and sculpture. I am a master woodcarver and for the last quarter century, I am the man who creates the carved awards for the surfing professionals who win the prestigious Van's Triple Crown of Surfing on the North Shore of Oahu. You might say I am the most famous unknown surf artist in the world. My passion is to paint, but I like to write too. Something about that blank space. My first book "Surf Fu", was published 3 years ago by a vanity press: now out of print. It is returning as "The Lost Traveler."
