Michael Chase Walker is currently writing producing Academy Award/Pulitzer prize winner Jules Feiffer's live-action animation hybrid Trapped in a Comic Book. He recently discovered and adapted the screenplay to Shrek author, William Steig's Rotten Island which he sold to Vanguard Animation. His graphic novel concept and screenplay Circus Galacticus sold to Vanguard Films (Variety August 12, 2009). Michael is the author of Power Screenwriting: The 12 Stages of Story Development and is responsible for hundreds of hours of animated and live-action television shows including Pee Wee's Playhouse, Galaxy High School, Teen Wolf, He-Man and She-Ra Hour of Power, Dino Riders, Voltron: Defender of the Universe, The Last Unicorn and many more. In conjunction with Vanguard Films Michael discovered, developed, wrote and facilitated the studio sales of After Man, Galaxy High School, The Twits, The Court Jester, and Cupid in Love for Dreamworks, MGM, Disney, and Steven Spielberg's Amblin' Animation. "From The Last Unicorn to Earthman's Burden (which I developed with Sydney Pollack at TriStar Pictures) to the present I have long foreseen the return, emergence and domination of animated films and animation technology. I have devoted my life and craft to seeing animation fulfill its promise, and continue to pursue that vision in my screenplays and story adaptations.
