Leslie Ann Coles of LA Coles Fine Art Films is an independent producer /writer/ director. A former modern dancer /choreographer and children and youth arts educator. Leslie Ann transitioned into film and TV in 2000 with her award winning debut film, "In The Refrigerator". An alumnus of Women In The Directors Chair (WIDC) Leslie Ann has won several CTV Banff Fellowships for her original series concepts and treatments.
Most recently, Leslie Ann co produced two EPS of Make It Raw, a raw vegan/ lifestyle show which debuted on OUT TV. Leslie Ann also received development funding from the Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC) for the feature documentary titled, "Melody Makers" aka "Should've Been There". In addition to "Melody Makers" for which there is a series treatment and complimentary IDM titled, LENS ON MUSIC- Leslie Ann has other original projects that pertain to Health & Mental Health, Biography, Arts and Ent. Series, and garnered a CTV Fellowship for for her comedy series, “Variety Store” (available for option.
Leslie Ann is also the Founder and Executive Director of The Female Eye Film Festival (est 2001). She previews over 300 independent films annually including documentaries. Having viewed and programmed docs at the FeFF for the past ten years Leslie Ann has a keen eye, and appreciation for good film making, and The Female Eye is regaled for its fine programming.
