Past Life Interrupted

Recurring vivid nightmares about burning to death in a hotel fire disrupt Randall Marsh's waking life. A co-worker, Natalie Wilson, can't help but notice Randall's plight and offers a sympathetic ear. Randall explains he lives his vivid nightmares as a young woman. That besides the nightmares there have been other dreams, always experienced as a "Candice Miller" in 1930's Hollywood.

Natalie contacts a psychiatrist friend, Doctor Zelda Wallace, in hopes she can help. Zelda, a extremely is eager to help. Both Zelda and Natalie suspecting Randall is suffering some manner of past life trauma.

Resorting to hypnosis Zelda attempts to probe deeper into Randall's past life as Candice Miller. Under hypnosis Randall is physically flung right out of his clothes and into 1937 Hollywood.


Finding himself in 1937 Hollywood, Randall is found by his past incarnation, Candice Miller. Feeling sorry for Randall Candice takes him in. Candice feeling an odd connection with Randall. One afternoon both Candice and Randall suffer a "plurality." A stunned Candice realizing she and Randall are somehow one and the same.


Wanting answers Randall seeks out the closest thing to a psychic the 1930's has to offer, a spiritualist. Dragging Candice along, Randall shocked to find the spiritualist to be Zelda Wallace's grandmother. The spiritualist takes their hands and is shocked to find two bodies but only one soul.


The spiritualist tells Randall he's been sent back to prevent Candice's murder. Things becoming even more complicated when Randall and Candice fall for each other.


Randall has a long list of suspects who might do Candice harm. However it turns out to be the hotel's lecherous and very unstable bellhop who lusts for and does her harm when he can't have her.


A final struggle occurs in Candice's room with Candice, Randall, the spiritualist and her four year old daughter present as the bellhop tries to torch Candice's room. In the struggle the spiritualist senses it time to set things right and sacrifices herself so the others can escape when the room explodes in flames.


The trio escapes to the spiritualist's shop where Randall vanishes and Candice discovers she's to take over the spiritualist's identity. And she now has all of Randall's memories and experiences to help her "predict the future."


Sitting in a coffees shop in the present Natalie, Zelda and Zelda's mother discuss Randall Marsh. Wondering why they remember someone who never existed. A employee finally brings their order over and the trio sense something otherworldly about the young man. Taking a close look at the name tag, Natalie sees the young man's name is "Randall."
