Tom Hawkins, a flustered former Marine and a current truck driver. His pregnant wife Rosa is expecting any day. Frankie, a ruthless mob boss and his underlings, led by Ryan; Tom’s Staff Sergeant and his worst nightmare, smuggle $50 million worth of diamonds after a fierce fight with Jeff, a promotion hungry FBI agent. Panicked by an FBI raid, Ryan calls Tom, gives him a tempting offer to move furniture from Miami to Chicago, with the diamonds discreetly concealed. Roger, Frankie’s man tails Tom’s truck. The FBI finds out about the truck. Tom gets pulled over by the Georgia State Troopers. Roger shoots the troopers, and rockets down the FBI Helicopter with an RPG. Tom beats down Roger, takes off in the truck, and changes his route to New York. In New York, Tom hooks up with his friend Walter, a dock manager and they find the diamonds. Both Frankie and Agent Jeff storms Walter’s dock and clash. Tom runs off with his truck. Frankie and company beat the FBI, hunt Tom down the highway. After a violent chase, Dirty Dan, Tom’s fellow trucker smacks his truck into Ryan’s SUV. Tom escapes squeezes his way out through the Bronx toll plaza. The FBI watch Tom’s house in Chicago. Frankie sends Sergio and Mike to Tom’s house to snatch Rosa, the FBI kill Mike. On his way back to Chicago to protect his wife, Tom faces a treacherous snow storm. Rosa is checked into a hospital. Rosa delivers her baby, and Tom deliberately crashes his truck by the Cleveland airport exit. A snow plow driver takes Tom to the airport. Tom takes a flight home, straight to the hospital to meet his newborn. Frankie and his men kill the two FBI agents on a stakeout, wreck Tom’s house and locate Rosa. Fearful Tom surrenders to the FBI. Ryan finds Rosa and kidnaps her. Agent Jeff wants to use Tom as bait. Tom escapes, a convoy of law enforcement vehicles follow Tom to Frankie’s house in a Chicago suburb. A shoot out takes place, Tom traces his wife to a high-rise building in downtown Chicago. Jeff with his men go after Tom. Frankie and Ryan crush Jeff. In a clever way, Tom hammers Ryan and Frankie and saves his wife. Tom returns the diamonds, gets his reward.
