A Girl Called Arf - "Shipwrecked!"

Script Logline: In 1868 a transportee to Australia is shipwrecked, encounters a selkie, and the two of them struggle against pirates to free English and selkie prisoners.

Episode Synopsis

It's 1868. We first encounter William Blakeley on his way to the gallows for the murder of his wife and her lover. At the last moment is sentence is commuted and he is transported to Australia, instead. Somewhere in the Strait of Malacca, he is shipwrecked in a typhoon and is rescued by a selkie, who allows herself to be called Arf. He is the only survivor of the shipwreck. The two of them team up to defeat pirates who have taken English prisoners and selkie prisoners of other pirate encounters. A romantic attachment develops but is complicated by an existing relationship between Arf and another selkie, Caesar, who claims Arf as his mate.
