Objective Cuba

Flynn is in Jamaica working on his life story 'My Wicked, Wicked Ways' when he gets a tax demand, and he decides to leave the country. He receives a commission from the Hurst press to go to Cuba as a journalist. In Havana, the CIA tells him to go home as they have no intention of protecting him. He ignores them and gets a lead from a dancing girl whose brother is attached to the rebels. They are arrested as she hands him an invitation and instructions on how to go to the hills to meet Castro. Luckily his manager pays off the police and he is released, but the girl is still to be questioned. The second act begins with Flynn flying to the east to meet the rebels with his photographer. They meet Celia Sanchez, Castro's aide, she takes an immediate dislike to Flynn and calls him a rapist. Castro wants publicity and decides he can use Flynn as a propaganda tool. Flynn, instructs Castro in the art of public relations but he is competitive he plans to enter into a battle of egos. The mid-point happens on New years eve just as Flynn is making his play for authority. News of Batista leaving the country comes on over the radio, a provisional government has taken over. Castro is furious and accuses them of stealing his revolution. The real action begins as Castro decides to attack Santiago. Flynn goes along for the ride and almost gets blown up in the battle. The Rebels finally take over and move to Havana. The firing squads begin their dirty job and Flynn goes to witness the horror. When a rebel shoots a dog he is feeding he gets furious and decides to act. He makes contact with The CIA and offers to be their inside man. He collects information under the guise of scouting for locations for his film 'Cuban Rebel Girls'. Celia Sanchez is suspicious and wants to see the film, she organizes the kidnapping of the star and Flynn has to go into the lion's den to free her. The finale begins as Flynn enacts an escape and is pursued by Celia and her soldiers.
