Henry Howard Holmes was a prolific serial killer from the late 1800's. A once young and promising Doctor of Medicine gives way to the temptation of evil. As discord is spread around the city of Chicago, Detective Frank Geyer seeks to find out who or what is causing it.

Henry Howard Holmes was born in 1861. He graduated from The University of Michigan in 1884. His crimes include, but are not limited to, insurance fraud, forgery, swindling, bigamy, horse theft, and murder. The most notable crimes he committed are the ones in Chicago, Ill. during the World's Columbian Exposition in 1893. Holmes had constructed a 3 story hotel to attract guests. Little did his victims know that Holmes "Castle" would later be known as the "Murder Castle of Chicago". The "Castle" was said to be built by many different contractors throughout its process. Once the laborers were fired for doing shoddy workmanship, Henry would hire another crew to finish the job. Leaving nobody, except Henry, to know exactly what he was building. He was capture in Boston in 1894, sentenced to death, and asked for his coffin to be encased in concrete. Despite public outcry, the destruction of Henry, and his castle; evil has still not left the world.
