Just watched the first episode of the first season of the Sherlock Holmes (U.K.) series. It was great. A question I have is: Are all British T.V. dramas an hour and a half long? It was fantastic to sit there and be fully entertained without feeling the show cut corners for a speedy resolution for time's sake.

I think 45 mins or 1 hour is a more common length. Sherlock is a mini series so it plays by different rules.

That is what I like about the UK and the Asian formats. They don't seem to cut corners. Even the shows that are the standard length space out what is happening, even if it means putting the resolution of one episode into the next episode.
