Talentville Bar & Grill : The Wild West
Is this the new TV fad?

So, came back to Talentville after some time away from needing to workshop anything new.  Got my new script on the site, and set about logging in new reviews for other members.  Here's what I've got:

Purchased 8 reviews

6 Reviews assigned to members, of those:

1 actual review completed

2 assigned, never completed, lagged back to unassigned status

3 that have to be ready to lag out in the next day or so, considering they were picked up as assignments back in the second term of the Bush Administration

In the meantime, I've logged 4 reviews

It's me, isn't it?  Actually COMPLETING reviews has become passe, right?

Pick up assignments, and let 'em lag!  It's all the rage!

Can't make 'em finish the review. IF they are putting so much effort into the review to not finish it on time, then the review probably won't be worth it. If someone just runs out of time and drops the review, at least you TV dollars weren't wasted on a rushed review. If someone doesn't like the script, or can't find something significant to add, then again, probably for the best that they drop the script.

Having said all of that, I having purchased reviews out there and not getting reviews back.

Yeah, no big deal really.  Just noting a trend toward a phenomenon I hadn't really experienced to such an extent before.

Your experience is common, Russ. The thing is, I think a lot of people see this as a place to simply promote their script rather than what I see it as most useful for, a place to develop your script. So they just put up their script like it's InkTip, and might do enough to get it named script of the month for a resume line and email blast.

Of course, 2 reviews have come in today.  (fart)
