Derek Rushlow

I started my venture in screenwriting in the fall of 2008, but didn't complete my first screenplay until summer of 2009.

Nothing major happened to any of my screenplays until March 2011 when I had the opportunity to pitch my latest screenplay (at that time) on a Los Angeles-based radio station. A couple months after that, I collaborated with an independent filmmaker friend on mine on a screenplay that is an homage to the silent comedies of Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin. The movie, "Beach Bums," came out in September 2011.

As of now (December 2011), I am collaborating on another film with the filmmaker, this one a horror/documentary.
