After receiving her graduate degree in screenwriting from The University of Southern California in 2004, Heather Langone optioned several feature length scripts and parlayed that success into a colorful writing and producing career. In July 2010, The Binds That Tie Us, starring Brian Krause, which Ms. Langone produced in association with her production company Charles River Films, was accepted to The Burbank Film Festival. Recently, her TV script This is Your Captain, placed in the top ten at The Great Lakes Film Festival in the teleplay category. In 2006 Ms. Langone was a finalist in the American Gem and Write Brothers Screenwriting competition for her dark, teen drama, Under the Peel which she eventually sold. Langone has also produced and sold her satirical film about Hollywood paparazzi, The Money Shot, to the Mini-Movie Channel. She also worked as a producer on the reality TV series, Abbey & Janice: Beauty and the Best which starred Janice Dickinson. Recently, as part of a casting team, Ms. Langone was honored to receive the 2009 THEA Award for her work as casting associate on Air Force One, an interactive video at the Ronald Reagan Library. Additionally, she has published many articles and features in Back Stage, The Post Gazette Boston and EHOW.com just to name a few. Langone also worked as Assistant Web Editor at Back Stage where she penned two columns, The Skinny and The Last Word. Lastly, as an actor, she received the OOBRA award for Best Ensemble for her role as Cher in Dressing Room Divas and has appeared in national commercials, on stage in the well received one woman show, Jaded, in many Off-Broadway plays and on television and in film.
