Darrell James is a professional actor, educator, and screenwriter with more than three decades of experience in theater, film, and television. A former drama professor at institutions including Vassar College, he brings a performance-centered approach to screenwriting that emphasizes character, dialogue, and ensemble storytelling. In addition to developing original feature screenplays, James is the author of the forthcoming book Star Trek Speaks: The Films, a philosophical exploration of dialogue and meaning across the Star Trek film canon. His current feature screenplay, Styx and Stones, is a contained supernatural drama set in rural Greece in which a traveling theater company staging Antigone becomes the vehicle for restoring the erased story of a murdered widow. James continues to create original projects blending theatrical structure, mythic themes, and producible cinematic scale.
