I’m David Alan Bentley, a screenwriter and playwright specializing in psychological and supernatural horror, thrillers, and character-driven drama. My writing blends gut-punch emotion with pitch-black dread, creating stories that explore the extremes of human vulnerability and survival.
My current body of work includes Don’t Speak (short psychological-supernatural horror), Deception (a one-act psychological play), and Cocoon (short horror proof-of-concept), with additional feature projects in development including Dissonance, a psychological horror/fantasy drama. My script, Don't Speak has earned multiple festival selections, including Hollywood Horrorfest and La Fantasia Fest.
I’m currently pursuing my English major with a Theatre minor at Salem State University, while building connections and actively submitting to festivals and competitions. My goal is to bring cinematic, emotionally raw horror stories to both screen and stage, collaborating with producers and studios who value bold, challenging narratives.
