Born in the like Valley of Southern California, ya’ know?!, David J. Liberman was a natural story teller. The son of teachers (Art & Russian History), David’s genetics led him to the world of superheroes and comic books, and when he wasn’t running around the house in a cape as Super David with his trusty sidekick, The Wondermutt, he was studying the craft to write and draw them.
Having taken a slew of drawing and creative writing courses in high school and junior college, David transferred to Otis College of Art and Design, where he earned a BFA in Illustration. David then spent the next ten years as a professional comic book artist and storyboard artist having drawn anything from GI Joe to The Joker to storyboards for national television commercials like Taco Bell and Chevrolet.
Believing he has fulfilled one aspect of his world (Art) the other (Writing) was lacking, so David spent the last five years honing his screenwriting skills by taking extension courses and studying the greats like Truby, Field, Vogler and McKee. He also wrote. (And wrote and wrote and wrote...) David has become a prolific writer having finished 10 screenplays, 2 TV pilots and numerous shorts and skits. Not bad for a valley boy!
David is currently repped by Zero Gravity Management.
