Frida Torresblanco is an award-winning producer based in New York. After studying Film and Literature in Madrid, she went on to produce many prestigious projects, including THE DANCER UPSTAIRS (directed by John Malcovich), THE ASSASSINATION OF RICHARD NIXON (starring Sean Penn) and PAN’S LABYRINTH (directed by Guillermo del Toro and winner of three Oscars at the 79th Academy Awards). In 2007, The Hollywood Reporter named her one of the 50 most powerful Latinos in Hollywood; she was number 13 in the same magazine’s Hispanic Women Power 25 list.
Her new production company, Braven Films, completed its
first feature MAGIC MAGIC (with Michael Cera, Juno Temple, and Emily Browning), which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2013 and went on to play at Cannes in Director’s Fortnight. It wasdistributed domestically through Sony Pictures.
