The script is based on a true story of a Holocaust survivor living in Frieberg Germany practicing medicine in 1938 when the Nazis rose to power and how he escaped over the Swiss Andies with a patient acting as a guide along with his dog. I researched the event for five years and then wrote a script which was re-written by myself and Kris White an ABC writer at the time. I have also written and published a book entitled "Taking Chancey" which is on Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble.Com, Books A Million and numerous small book stores. This is the story of how we acquired our dog Chancey and five years of his life with us. It is a happy Marley and Me.
