JIM FISHER began his show business career right out of college with two fellow students in a comedy trio, The Grimm Brothers. Failing to fulfill the "tab for stardom" tag put on them by Chicago's foremost theater critic, he joined the Mainstage cast at Chicago's famous Second City Theater along with Harold Ramis, Joe Flaherty, and John Belushi. He parlayed his comedy improvising skills into a performing and writing career with fellow Second City alums, Jim Staahl and Tino Insana as The Graduates. Continuing as a duo with Jim Staahl his writing credits include feature films; movies of the week; sitcoms staff and pilots as well as animation. Some of those he has created projects for and worked with include Steven Spielberg, Steve Martin, Dana Carvey, Rodney Dangerfield, Dietrich Bader, Howie Mandel and Mike Myers.
Jim went on to teach workshops in Creating A Sitcom and Feature Film Screenwriting Basics at The Second City Training Centers in LA and Chicago as well as devising a method of discovering missing elements in your story from your initial Quick (Elevator) Pitch while at the Harold Ramis Film School.
