I graduated from Stanford University, where I studied English and Psychology. I have produced two of my own short films, one of which premiered at the 2011 Starz Denver International Film Festival and went on to a successful festival season, nominated for 5 awards and winning the short-form screenwriting award at Visionfest 12 at the Tribeca Cinemas, as well as the Best Colorado Short Film at the Film Festival of Colorado. Another short script is currently slated to be produced by the internationally known anti-violence organization, “Rachel’s Challenge”. Three of my short plays have been produced by a Denver area theatre. I have written six screenplays, and optioned one.
In addition to my college education, for the past seven years I have attended writing workshops with numerous industry professionals: Joe Cacaci (writer/ producer "The Education of Max Bickford", director/ exec producer "The Hoop Life", writing faculty at Columbia), David Platt (Director/producer "Law and Order: SVU", director "House"), Matthew Penn (Exec producer/director "Law & Order", director "The Closer", "Damages", "NYPD Blue"), Dan Lauria (actor "The Wonder Years", "Independence Day", "Sullivan and Son"), Craig Volk (writer "Northern Exposure", writing faculty UC Denver) and many others. I am currently taking the ScreenwritingU ProSeries online screenwriting course.
