As a “military” brat (son of a US Naval Officer), he attended schools across the width and breath of America - graduating from high school in Japan in 1963.
Author of four books, and three screenplays, Wilson has shared his extensive knowledge of contemporary 20th Century culture and social upheavals throughout Europe and America.
While attending college in Texas during the mid ‘60s, Braniff Airlines introduced “The End of the Plain Plane” ad campaign. With an uncle who served as a Captain for Braniff for thirty years, he became good friends with numerous hostesses who were based in Dallas.
His last two books, “When You’ve Got It, Flaunt It - Real Stories of Jet Stewardesses” and “Flaunt It 2”, a sequel, utilized Interviews from dozens of ex-hostesses from the most innovative air carrier in history. Wilson captured both the panache and elan of the Braniff Hostess corps with countless candid photographs, including graduating classes, in-flight pranks, and destination travel tableauxs remembered with clarity and emotion.
