Steve Tatenda Junior Sabawo is a twenty-seven-year-old aspiring author and screenwriter. An accounts clerk by day and a writer by night, he is inspired by telling stories from his native Zimbabwe that reflect on the historical past and present, all in a bid to raise awareness for the country's culture, heritage and potential. Steve has received zero education on creative writing and filmmaking. Rather, he has taught himself how to write scripts by simply studying the hundreds of movies and television shows that continue to captivate his love for storytelling. With enough self-taught knowledge and the arrogance to dream, he has managed to whip up 'First Street', a story set in post colonial Zimbabwe which explores life in the 80's and how it resonates in sattire fashion with the challenges and opportunities that are currently being experienced in the Southern-African country.
