Leslie Ferderigos, writer's alias "E.G. Alexander", Esq.(Ret.) began her legal career in her 30s, driven by personal experiences with Florida's Family Court System. During law school, she distinguished herself on the Moot Court Honorary Board and Trial Team while advocating for mental health awareness in the legal profession.
As a practicing attorney, she specialized in family law, parental rights, and guardianship cases. Her groundbreaking work, including a landmark appeal that changed parental rights laws, garnered national media attention on ABC and NBC News. She also collaborated with the Palm Beach Clerk of Courts to combat guardianship fraud.
Despite holding licenses in Florida State and Federal District Courts, Alexander chose to retire in 2023 after witnessing concerning ethical and criminal acts within the state bar. Today, she mentors attorneys on complex cases and runs Legally Pro Se, an educational program helping individuals navigate the legal system independently.
