Rockwood is my only name. I started writing screenplays in 1985 when my acting coach Frank Doubleday encouraged me to write characters and situations for me to play. I am a professional tattoo artist and I'm covered in tattoos; since Hollywood doesn't write for characters like me, I created my own. Frank told me I had something so I started taking classes and reading everything I could about screenwriting and I still do, to this day. I have written over a dozen feature scripts, produced two and submitted them to the Big Island Film Festival here in Hawaii. I have written and produced several short films that have all been accepted and played at the big island film festival.
