An accidental actor, I had a small speaking role in "The Last Castle" starring Robert Redford and the late James Gandolfini and directed by Rod Lurie. I was on the set as an extra with the goal of learning more about the screenwriting craft by watching the film making process up close when Rod tapped me for a speaking role. During production I met the actor Steve Burton and we eventually formed a writing/producing partnership. We sold a handful of projects but none ever went to production. We had a significant televison project that was poised to land at a major network, but was scuttled by the 2007 writers' strike. With a growing family and a mortgage, I returned to the "regular" job market in my hometown in central Indiana. I continued to write just as I continued to breathe, but my access to the industry all but disappeared. It is time to get back in the game.
