Next to writing, reading is my favorite pastime. And I do plenty of both. My education is in Geography (BA) and English (MA) and I tap into both as a traveler and a writer. I've taught college English and have tutored and coached graduate students. I've taught English as a second language. I've been a stringer for newspapers. I've been, alternately, the editor, co-editor and features writer for an international women's organization's magazine. I divide my time between LA, Chicago, and Prague, Czech Republic. Sometimes, all I have to do is take a walk and look around me. But seeing life put to words, that's magic. Reading scripts brings new styles and new ideas, new expressions, new interests.
