I began writing around 1992, as I was fresh out of the army, and ready to take Hollywood by storm. One screenplay that I wrote, Drug Train, AKA Light in the Darkness, was actually produced as a play. Several years later it was renamed as Night Owl and produced as a very low budget feature. By calling it low budget, really does a disservice to low budget movies. This was more like no-budget, but it did manage to win a minor film festival out of East Los Angeles.
Two kids and a wife later, and screenwriting took a back seat to paying bills. After a near two decade long hiatus from writing, I finally started up again a few years ago. Currently I am in the military and write as much as I can in what little time I can spare. I recently placed 2nd, Judges Mention, in the 2015 Allan Hancock Film Festival short screen competition. I hope to continue to grow as a writer and learn as much as I can from this site. With any luck, I will hopefully see one of my scripts produced.
