Violet Phillips hails from New York City, New York. The daughter of reckless city kids, she adored literary journalism and urban fiction.Inspired to become a poet or novelist, she dedicated herself to beating her ADHD and learning structure.To this end, she is earning a bachelor’s degree in English from Mills, where she is writing poems and short stories. Forced into quarantine, she turned her attention to screenwriting, typing up her first complete screenplay. A loose retelling of Celeste Ng’s LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE, the untitled screenplay tells the story of a Logan’s beach high school student Realizing her mom wishes she were someone else. Violet is 20 and lives in Oakland.
