Although spent most of my life doing tech stuff, I do have a long history of writing as well. I still have the crazy stories from high school. Even the off-beat one that I senr to a young lady I was interested in. She never wrote back.
I did a stint as a sports editor on my college newspaper --and I was paid for it. I found that somewhat amazing for a shy, introverted science major.
After that I did esoteric papers, usually with a list other authors, on topics that were unspeakably obscure.
Later on, wrote a lot of short stories, memoir pieces, part of two novels, and 350 critiques. Then heard a lecture on screenwriting by Richard Walter. Got excited and said, "This is what I want to do!"
