In 1970 graduated from the Leningrad Pedagogical Institute (currently St. Petersburg Pedagogical University) with an MA in Special Education and Speech Pathology. After arriving to the United States, studied healthcare administration and received his PhD from NYU. In 1991 started Life Adjustment Center, a non-profit agency for the developmentally disabled. This year opened the LAC Comprehensive Preschool, an integrated, extended-day education program for children ages 2-5. In 2013 Published "The Child of GULAG", a book based on my life.
