For Blue

“For Blue” is like a cross between “Finding Nemo” and “Happy Feet.” The story’s about an attention-deficit, tattooed female fruit bat named Foxy who learns from her friend Izzy, a male tree shrew, about a storm that threatens to permanently flood the island due to rising sea levels. As such, Foxy and Izzy warn their island classmates and families, but no one takes them seriously. The storm deals a devastating blow. Foxy joins Izzy and various rescued islanders in an ark headed to San Francisco to find Foxy’s missing Dad and to attend a global summit to get help. Early on in their journey, Foxy and Izzy meet Blue, a deaf whale, who becomes the group’s navigator and Foxy’s mentor. Sadly, Blue is severely wounded in an effort to save the mission from demise. With a hint of romance, Izzy helps Foxy realize her full potential that could ultimately save the day.
