THE MALL (aka MALLED)

In an age where national security is under constant threat, America's first
"smart" mall is about to open. The new Patriot Mall is a fully automated hi-tech
super structure complete with the latest in futuristic innovations and an omnipotent
A.I. security system with its own stealth police force, and it promises an over-the-top
shopping experience in a safe and spotless, crime free environment.

But when 17 year old Diane Walker, the brainy but insecure new girl in town,
accepts a dare from the popular clique to sneak into the mall with them before
the grand opening, the mall proves to be anything but safe.

With the help of a computer wiz who gets them all in as temporary employees,
the girls have fun checking out the high-end stores, interactive kiosks and
holograph salesclerks - unaware that "Big Brother" is watching their every move.
When one of them tries to shoplift and another girl meets an untimely death, the mall
sics its police drones on them and goes into lockdown.

Trapped inside with all communications cut off, paranoia and in-fighting only making
matters worse and the body count rising, the remaining captives will have to join forces
and use every bit of human ingenuity to escape a building smarter than they are.
