The Voices

Harlan Baker is a man living on the edge of society, working odd jobs as a handyman around the small, upstate New York town he lives in. He's fascinated by conspiracy talk radio and his favorite author is Chuck Danforth, a writer known for his novels about ancient civilizations that may have been influenced by alien visitation. Harlan has an infatuation with the local pet shop girl, Naomi, a young woman completely out of his league and someone recovering from an abusive relationship and addiction, yet he becomes more captivated by her when he discovers that she has native American blood in her. When Harlan hears a voice coming from his bathroom pipes, he's convinced that Naomi is the key to discovering the meaning of the voice, and this leads him down a dark path of discovery.
