When her husband dies in an accident, Julia May assumes the head of the group of patriots striving to find ways to bring the U.S. back from the brink under the Global Federation. While many accomplishments are coming to fruition, she's stunned with information from a scientist who has escaped from the Federation confines. The Federation plans on putting a cloud of debris around the globe to counter the solar flares they believe will be activated on a certain date. While attempting to get this information to a group of State Governors who might influence the President to take action, it's learned the projectiles have already started their mission and the President has approved of the project.
