Failed musician Harvey Buellton isn't very happy with his life. So when he suddenly dies, he thinks that's the end of his troubles. But when he learns that he must complete a holy mission to gain admittance to Heaven, he finds out his real troubles have just begun. And what at first seems like a random mission winds up being much more personal to Harvey than he could have ever suspected.
