On a stormy night outside a Victorian-style convent, a child is found carving strange sigils onto the street with no memory of his past. A brave nun defies the tempest to rescue him, unknowingly setting in motion a chain of events that will alter the fate of the world. The boy, Silas, carries a dormant power beyond holy understanding, and is haunted by a recurring ethereal whisper: “Don’t let them find you.”

Fifteen years later, Silas is a young priest living a quiet life under the care of the clergy, tending to pigeons and ignoring the unholy abilities that simmer beneath his skin. But the peace he so desperately tried to build is shattered when a violent exorcism awakens something ancient within him that ripples beyond the Veil, drawing a confederacy of Fallen Angels to his location. Silas is captured and dragged into their hidden dimension, where he is thrust into a brewing war between celestial forces and infernal beings. There, Silas begins to unravel the mysteries of his origins, his purpose, and the true nature of his soul. Guiding (or perhaps manipulating) him is Sam, the childhood friend only Silas can see.

The Fallen Angels govern the realm with electric whips and divine authority, claiming it is all to protect citizens from a coming Armageddon. Among them are Dream, a rogue agent, and Beatrice, a high-ranking officer haunted by a past she cannot escape. But they are not the only ones interested in the young priest. From the shadows, the Disciples of the Damned gather, whispering Sam's true name: “Him”. While the Angels seek to contain Silas's power for themselves, the disciples intend to unleash it and revel as Sam “cleanses” the Earth, remaking creation in his image.

As the realm teeters on the brink of chaos, freedom fighters rise against the Angels while demons prowl the back alleys, and ancient prophecies point toward a coming cataclysm with Silas at its center: the pawn who could be their king, the priest who could be their messiah— or the cause of their destruction.

Angels Can Die is a dark fantasy epic that blurs the line between good and evil, where the divine wields cages and demons masquerade as loved ones. It is Silas's story of identity, faith, and belonging— building to the moment when he finally realizes that the person he truly is has always been the one he was most terrified to become.
