Paramedic ANDIE rushes to the hospital with a fresh heart for a transplant, terrified she’s seen DR. YATES murder a patient to get it. She frantically calls the police but is involved in a horrific accident that grossly disfigures her face.
Yates frames her for the murder and Andie ends up in a cell on death row, the perfect place for her to hide her ruined face.
At Stone Gate prison, plastic surgeon DR. CAMERON RILEY, uses her rehab program to experiment on inmates in hopes of finding a cure for her own terminal illness. But time runs out when husband, EVERET bans the experimental drug she's taking, because it causes psychosis.
PAUL WELKER, a lawyer who’s rough around the edges but has a heart of gold, knows Andie won't fight to live unless he convinces Dr. Riley to repair her face. He has no idea when the good doctor agrees to help Andie, she's mentally unraveling and believes she'll be able to stay alive by taking over Andie's healthy body.
The night of the execution, Paul's granted a last second stay of execution, but it comes too late. Dr. Riley lies on the gurney dead and Andie walks out of prison a free woman, but now wearing the face of Dr. Riley.
With nowhere else to go, Andie assumes Dr. Riley’s perfect life.
Paul, distraught, is driven to figure out what went wrong that night. He follows the clues that lead him to a desolate prison cemetery where he digs up Dr. Riley's dead body. Shocked, he races to Andie for answers, but instead finds Everet, who also has figured out that his wife is really a convicted murderer.
Betrayed, Everet calls the police to arrest Andie. Now Andie’s on the run again, but this time, she won’t be trying to escape her death, this time she must escape her life.
