Active ✔ PDFA hunter ventures deep into the wilderness in pursuit of a legendary predator, only to learn how quickly the hunt can turn.
EASY PREY is a tense, atmospheric survival thriller that explores the fragile line between hunter and hunted.
Set deep within a vast, rain-soaked wilderness, the film follows John, an experienced hunter tracking what may be the trophy of a lifetime. Confident, capable, and completely at home in the wild, John ventures farther and farther from civilization in pursuit of his quarry. But when a routine hunt suddenly takes an unexpected turn, the wilderness he knows so well becomes an unforgiving test of endurance, determination, and survival.
Told with minimal dialogue, EASY PREY relies heavily on visual storytelling, atmosphere, and mounting tension. The forest itself becomes a character—beautiful, indifferent, and utterly relentless. As daylight fades and isolation closes in, the film places the audience alongside John, forcing them to experience every setback, every decision, and every painful realization in real time.
What begins as a story about control gradually transforms into a story about vulnerability. The confidence of the opening gives way to desperation as the balance of power shifts and the true laws of nature reveal themselves. The further John's situation deteriorates, the more the audience is drawn into a primal struggle where survival becomes the only objective.
At its core, EASY PREY is a meditation on human arrogance, our relationship with the natural world, and the illusion that we ever truly stand at the top of the food chain. Brutal, suspenseful, and emotionally gripping, the film builds toward a powerful final image that leaves the audience questioning who the real predator was all along.
