Laugh Out Broke is a character-driven comedy about friendship, survival, and finding opportunity in failure. Set in the quirky small town of Pennyville, the story follows Charlie and Max, two broke best friends working at the struggling Penny Feaster Diner while desperately trying to escape financial disaster.
From failed dog-walking businesses and ridiculous infomercials to chaotic cookbook schemes and diner rivalries, every attempt to improve their lives somehow becomes a bigger disaster. Yet through all the chaos, their loyalty, humor, and determination slowly turn them into unlikely local legends.
Blending heartfelt friendship with fast-paced comedy, Laugh Out Broke combines the emotional chemistry of a buddy comedy with the charm of a small-town ensemble story. The project is designed as either a feature comedy or adaptable streaming/television series with recurring characters and episodic business schemes.
