Lonny is a talented athlete on the brink of being recruited by the same college team as his girlfriend is set to attend. Problems abound when her father's friends intervene to try to deny him access to his scholarship, and to her.
Faced with the prospect of fighting off criminal charges unjustly levied at him Lonny has to come to terms with his upbringing, his mixed race identity and the nature of support from his girlfriend and her family.
The world of college sports recruiting has been weaved into the plot as another hurdle.
Envisioned taking place in mid-1970s setting but with a simple removal of 1 super the tale can be shot as contemporary on a sub-$500K budget
