In the near future and not so distant past there is a small yet growing city called Spruce Grove. Its a quiet peaceful city, for one reason and one reason only. Hans Colbolt. Colbolt is a no nonsense renegade cop who plays by his own rules. His only concern is keeping his city safe.
With the exception of his marriage falling apart everything seems to be going well for Colbolt, until a new terror comes to town. Spruce Grovians begin to vanish, it isn't long till they come back though, the only problem is they're dead.
