A research ship in the south pacific sinks. The only two survivors are an odd couple, a know it all brainy scientist and a happy-go-lucky deck hand. They must work together to survive a journey on a lifeboat on their way to being stranded on deserted island. Once they accept that no one is looking for them, they realize the only way to get rescued will be to do it themselves.

Castaway meets Passengers.
The screenplay is written to keep the locations to a minimum. A ship, a life raft, and an island. This is a perfect project for an established thirty something female lead like Emily Blunt, Alison Brie, or Brie Larson to play against a young male lead. Ansel Elgort, Tom Holland or Tye Sheridan would all be great compliments. This is an easily marketable project which will serve as a showcase for the two leads.
