The Rookie meets All of Me. Randy Duncan (Bradley Cooper) is having the season of his life but the clock is ticking for the aging, minor league baseball player to make it to the big leagues. While in a mini slump, he meets Paige (Kristen Bell), a local relationship talk show. Although their personalities are at odds, she convinces him that one of her guest might be able to help him. She is a Russian mystic who is able to switch spirits.
Their worlds collide when Sasha, the spirit swapper, accidentally transports them into each other bodies. The switch happens! Imagine Randy, the macho baseball player having the season of his life, now inhabiting the more conservative, feminine body of Paige as she takes over as the athlete. Pitch hitting takes on a whole new meaning. As the girly, timid Paige learns the in-and-outs of the male dominated world of baseball, Randy finds himself behind-the-scenes of her Jerry Springer-like talk show dealing with… ugh… relationships.
Tensions hit an all time high when Julie (Emily Blount), his ex-lover, pops into town to make it clear she wants Randy back. It now becomes a different ball game. Because of the circumstances, Paige, now inhabiting Randy's body, realizes she may lose the man she's now grown fond of as Randy, now inhabiting Paige's body, finds out that the stage manger has more than work on his mind with his wife.
With a big league talent scout in town to make or break Randy's dream, time becomes of the essence. Paige scrambles to find the elusive Sasha to reclaim his body in hopes of impresses the scout for his ticket to the majors. Paige tracks down Sasha. In the bottom of the ninth hour, their spirits are restored back to normal and Randy shines on the field, but not before he realizes that Paige is the most important thing in his life.
