In 1905, an Irish bare-knuckle boxer fugitive from NYC helps an enigmatic Chinese crime boss navigate lawless underworlds along the west coast, seeking supernatural treasure beneath Death Valley.
In 1905, John, an Irish bare-knuckle boxer fugitive on the lam from NYC, awakens on the train in burnt down ghost town, Havre, Montana.
Dagda, the Celtic earth God, urges John to follow workers descending through a cellar. In the welcoming subterranean saloon, he befriends fellow Dubliner, Michael.
Exploring underground, John meets Sing, an eccentric Shanghai-born entrepreneur. Sing gifts John opium, telling stories of supernatural treasure he vows to find beneath Death Valley.
John accepts Sing's bodyguard job offer. Michael enters, announcing impending ambush by armed lawmen and vigilantes. John shoots and kills Sheriff Jefferson mid-escape and the three run, hijacking a train out of Havre, with the sheriff's sadistic son, Deputy Jefferson on their trail.
