Trade is a complex of stories surrounding illegal immigration and the impact on the U.S. the anchor story of the script details the exploits of DUNCAN PRYCE a FBI agent fanatically obsessed with serving the bureau and a man willing to do whatever it takes to serve that end. Pryce is on a mission to find the Israeli and Latin, the men responsible for killing his partner during a botched sting operation. Following a lead on the Latin, Pryce encountersVALERIE COLON a brash FBI agent, who believes she better than any male agent. Pryce and Colon immediately clash and it comes to head as Pryce tortures the Latin to gain information as to the whereabouts of the Israeli, and Colon stops him and reports the incident , which is reviewed by a Senate Oversight chaired by SENATOR REES FISK, presidential candidate.
Fisk is the re-birth of JFK, charismatic, handsome, and a man who wants to bring the american dream to the doorstep of each and every citizen of this great nation. Fisk's wife, however, doesn't share that dream, and desires the White House and all the trappings that come with success, and has enlisted the aid of HOLLIS SPEAR, billionaire, a man who has power and knows how to use it. He wants both an immigration bill and and trade bill, both before the senate to pass, and uses Fisk's wife to squeeze Fisk in making sure those two bills pass, bills that would directly affect BRIAN LOWELL and his family. Lowell is a manager at a factory owned by Fisk's wife, and believes in America, its system and the people who run it. But Lowell's belief is altered when the factory replaces its workers with illegal mexican workers, one of them being ANA, a proud mexican woman.
Ana was the manager of the hotel where Pryce's partner was killed, after the FBI shut down the hotel, Ana is forced reluctantly to venture to the U.S. transported by the Israeli and Latin's smuggling ring, in order to make money so she can pay for an operation her daughter needs to remove a tumor from her eye. Once here Ana realizes she and all of her countrymen brought to the U.S. are now in captivity forced into slave labor for major U.S. corporations.
