In the first lecture in this class, Steve will teach us, in detail, the foundational building blocks that make a great premise for a comedy, and in the second session, limited to just 15 students, each participant can submit their own comedy premise or logline and Steve will analyze and critique each one in an interactive setting. In addition to having taught at UCLA, NYU, Yale and other universities, Steve Kaplan created the HBO Workspace, the HBO New Writers Program and was co-founder and Artistic Director of Manhattan Punch Line Theatre.
