STORY ESSENTIALS: Mastering Premise, POV & Protagonist
Most scripts never get read. Why? Because in positioning their screenplay, most writers make it way too easy for producers to say no - before they even get to page one.
Before endlessly polishing, rewriting, fixing and tweaking your script, realize that the market buys concepts. Veteran screenwriter, story consultant, film exec and producer Karel Segers has rejected hundreds of scripts. In this in-depth seminar, he reveals why 83% of all projects are dismissed in seconds, even before the screenplays are read. And he will teach you how to look at your own projects from their POV to ensure your concepts are compelling enough to demand they read the script. |

SCRIPT ESSENTIALS: Scene Structure, Dialogue & Style
In the world of spec scripts, so often your script gets abandoned before the reader even knows what it’s about. Not because readers and producers are harsh—they are!—but because they don’t trust you. And every overwritten sentence, punctuation gaffe, or clumsy exchange erodes what little trust there is.
