Dear Resident,

Like any good drinking establishment we have hired a couple tough guys to keep the peace, namely “Brass Knuckles” O'Brien and “Headknocker” Jones.  Yes they are huge, all muscles and no brains, a few cards short of a full deck, ex Special Forces with a thousand yard stare, but we think they're sweethearts. 

That is, as long as you follow some simple rules:

Be nice and respectful to other Residents.  Screaming, yelling and name calling won't be tolerated.

Don't post the same message in multiple forums, there is a place for everything.  You can call it cross posting, we call it a pain in the back side.

No foul language, abusive comments, racist remarks or anything else that will offend anyone, whether they are a Resident or not.  This should be a no brainer, right?

If you want to promote what you do, your site or your blog, whether it competes with Talentville or not, that is fine but don't overdo it or rag on Talentville.  Brass Knuckles and Headknocker are sensitive about that and their graciousness is limited.

Since you have hopefully read the Terms of Use, be sure you don't use the Bar & Grill to violate them or you'll be shown directly to the front door.  That includes mentioning the names, addresses, phone numbers or email addresses of other Residents without their permission, posting anything you don't have the rights to, posting pornographic or offensive material or anything other behavior that is just wrong. 

If you want to advertise Viagra, Percoset, hair transplants, dating services, escort services or any other nonsense that is clearly spam, find somewhere else to do it. 

If you see someone behaving badly, don't be a vigilante.  Send an email to one of the moderators and let them deal with it.  All head bashing and brawling will be done by the bouncers, that's what we pay them for.

If we kick you out, it is probably because you deserved it.  We do own the bar, after all.

If you want a longer list or more boring rules, find some other forums on the internet and read their rules, most probably apply.  Headknocker O’Brien and Brass Knuckes Jones have small brains and their eyes are already glazing over.  You know what's right and what's wrong, just have fun, network and let's all learn from each other.
