Jalen is a 34-year-old structural engineer who has spent years searching for an answer to a question most people eventually stop asking: why are we here?

When he begins noticing impossible figures just beyond the edges of ordinary life, Jalen initially questions his own perception. The more Jalen becomes aware of them, the more interested they become in him.
